Erin-Moon Kelly has the passion for performance and skills to transform the written notes on the printed page to wonderful musical passages that reflect her deep understanding of the music being performed. She possesses the unusual gifts of creativity and expression that are so vital in the performance of flute literature.

Mrs. Erin Moon-Kelly was my teacher for 3 years only, and in those 3 years, I learned so much. I was originally not in band at the beginning of middle school, because I just wanted to take lessons. But, when I decided to join band in 8th grade, I was afraid that I wouldn't be at the same level as my peers. I was right. Because of Mrs. Moon-Kelly's teaching style, I had surpassed my fellow bandmates and even landed a chair in the All-District Band for my first time ever!

In addition to playing very well Erin always shows up on time and with a great attitude. That is why we keep asking her to come back.

Ms. Kelly was the principal flutist in the Charlotte Concert Band under my direction for about 10 years. In addition to her section playing, she performed as soloist on several occasions including "Schindler's List" and a special performance of Debussy's "Syrinx." She has a beautiful tone and great projection along with a wonderful musical sense that made my job as a conductor much easier. I would highly recommend her for any professional performance jobs.

Erin Moon Kelly helped get our band program started here at Marvin Ridge High and Middle School a couple years ago.  I was very pleased with her services as a teacher, instructor, and private lessons teacher! She was always on time and knew ahead of schedule what she would be working on. Everything was perfect from working on tone, technique, rhythm, musicianship, and music.Ms Moon Kelly's talents came through time and time again! My students learned more than just music, they also learned how to be better human beings due to Mrs. Moon Kelly's teaching!

I was so nervous when I got married. I was able to have a very stress free wedding. I knew the music during the ceremony would be superb when I selected Erin Moon-Kelly. She is a very talented flautist and does a wonderful job playing music. She can turn any classical music piece into a memorable, once in a lifetime occasion. When you walk down the aisle hearing her music, your wedding will become a monumental event that neither you nor your groom will forget.

I always recommend Erin for any wedding, social event, corporate event, military function, sporting event, and/or funeral. She does a great job making sure that the music she plays fits the occasion and venue.

Erin Moon-Kelly has established herself in the region as a consummate musician who is in high demand as a concert performing artist. Her mastery of the flute is immediately evident, achieving rhythmic energy with fine clarity of detail and control along with a keen sense of phrasing, bringing out the drama, mystery, fantasy, and astonishment from within the music.  She is an audience favorite, as her programs appeal to both professional musicians and appreciative non-musicians.  Additionally, she is well-versed with sacred music literature and is also greatly sought after for providing flute solos and accompaniments for church services, working congenially with both amateur and professional church musicians and choirs.

Erin Moon-Kelly approaches the process of teaching music and the process of preparing for performances more seriously and thoughtfully than almost any musician I know. If you're seeking a conscientious and thoroughly prepared music professional for either teaching or performing, look no further: Erin's your person.

I have been a student with Mrs. Erin for six years. I worked with her from when I was in seventh grade all the way up to my senior year of high school. She is a fantastic musician and a great teacher. In addition to her fantastic teaching skills, she is extremely patient and flexible. She makes music easy, so you can effortlessly understand it. The analogies that she uses really help. I remember when she was trying to teach me how to play piccolo, she told me to pretend I was sucking on a coffee straw. This was to make my embouchure smaller for the piccolo. She will always go the extra mile with her students and helping them in any way possible. Mrs. Erin has helped me grow musically and has encouraged me to continue my musical journey through college. She is wonderful at inspiring others to play flute and I would strongly suggest studying flute with Mrs. Erin Moon-Kelly. She is a great teacher and a great person.

I have studied with Mrs. Erin for around seven years now. She is a great teacher who is not only talented, but kind, patient, and reliable. One of her main strengths is her ability to explain music in a way that is truly easy to understand. She always adds a little bit of humor into the lessons, which makes it exciting to come back every week. I would strongly recommend her as a flute teacher.

I have collaborated with Erin Moon-Kelly several times over the last seven years. Ms. Moon-Kelly is a high-caliber performer that is extremely dependable and professional. Whenever she comes to my church, she is prepared and organized. It is a relief to work with such a musician! We have also worked together on recitals of chamber music. The Lancaster County Council of the Arts is a proud sponsor of the EMK Concert Series each year.

Erin Moon-Kelly is not only able to select exceptional musicians to perform these concerts, but the music itself is professionally played, family-friendly and appropriate for community concerts. Not to mention that most are performed in historic venues.

It is a pleasure to support the work of EMK Music -- building audiences for concerts that promotes and enhances our cultural landscape in Lancaster.
